Welcome to the Children’s Global Media Summit 2017!
Although we are still 20 months away from the event in Manchester, I am already excited about how it is shaping up. With a new focus on digital media for young audiences across the world as well as a hugely ambitious legacy project being planned, I know that the impact of these three days will have a major ripple across our media landscape.
The foundation board were unanimous in choosing Manchester as the host city for the summit and were delighted that this meant we could work with BBC Children’s – without doubt one of the world’s leading lights in children’s media.
Myself and some fellow board members visited the summit venue at Manchester Central late last year, and were blown away by it – right in the heart of the city and with fantastic purpose built facilities.
It really is looking to be one of the most exciting summits the WSMCF have been involved with and I can’t wait for us to be able to join as many of you as possible in Manchester in December 2017.
Please sign up for updates on the summit and keep checking back on this blog as we will be updating the plans for the event as we go.
See you in Manchester!
